| FERG 'N SONS are an energetic bagpipe and drum trio from Unity, Maine. Kathy Van Deventer (a grandmother!) and her two sons, Josef and Joel hail from the Ferguson Clan of Scotland. Kathy's great grandmother, Wilhelmina Ferguson came to America from Scotland in the late 1800's. It was through this lineage that they found their roots in Celtic music and adopted their Scottish style. The trio plays traditional pipe band music with their own unique twist!! Their exciting and interactive performances carry diverse drum rhythms, energized bag piping, and songs with a mandolin and other stringed instruments. They are a unique crowd pleasing, family oriented entertainment band. They can be found performing together at weddings, Celtic festivals, holiday celebrations, community fairs, schools, parades and fundraisers. |
